Physical Therapy

Our physical therapist at Rehab Medicine and of the Carolinas is a health care provider trained to execute the recovery plan for patients as prescribed by the physiatrist. The physical therapist provides hands-on treatment and individualized instruction for a wide array of physical impairments, some of which include:

• joint pain, back pain, frozen shoulder, neck pain, muscle strains, sprains
• sports related injuries
• balance problems, dizziness, coordination deficits
• difficulty walking, movement problems
• weakness
• lymphedema
• peripheral neuropathy
• orthopedics pre and post-op care

We also offer various modalities such as moist heat, cold, and TENS to augment the treatment plan.

Our physical therapist provides a home exercise program to allow for written instruction for the home setting as well as training on how to use certain types of equipment such as canes, walkers, prosthetics, orthotics, and wheelchairs.

Our physical therapist is also trained to help the injured athlete return to play.
